Birds

The birds roaming the earth today are direct descendents of ancient dinosaurs.


This group of animals is characterized by their feathers, ability to lay eggs, and wings (although not all can fly)!

Birds have hollow bones so that they are lighter, making it easier to fly.

The hummingbird is the only bird that can fly backwards!
