Meet Our Geoffroy’s Marmoset!

Scientific Name: Callithrix geoffroyi

 

Status: Least Concern

          Reasons Why: This marmoset is found in areas already protected for other animals in danger of extinction 

Diet: I'm an omnivore! That means I eat fruits and small vertebraes. 

 

Habitat: These marmosets prefer forests and forest edges in a very small part of Brazil in South America. 

 

 

Fun Fact:

Geoffroy Marmoset's generally have twins or triplets!

Where am I From?

The Geoffroy's Marmoset is also known as the Tufted Ear Marmoset - be careful you don't confuse him with the Black-eared Tufted Marmoset!
